Information collected

This website does not use an online enquiry form. If you email, telephone or work with the company, information may include your name, work contact details, employer, project details, correspondence, documents you supply, quotations, instructions and payment records.

Limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type and request logs, may be processed by the organisations that host and secure the website.

Why the information is used

• To respond to enquiries and carry out an Initial Scope Check.
• To prepare quotations and decide whether work can be accepted.
• To deliver agreed services and communicate about a commission.
• To maintain financial, insurance, quality and project records.
• To meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
• To protect the website and the company from misuse or legal claims.

Lawful basis

Depending on the circumstances, information is processed because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, or for the company's legitimate interests in managing enquiries, delivering services, maintaining records and protecting the business. Personal information is not sold.

Sharing and international processing

Information may be shared only where necessary with IT, email and website-hosting providers; accountants, insurers and professional advisers; a client's authorised project team; or public bodies and regulators where required by law. Project information is not shared with another party for its own marketing.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, appropriate contractual or other legal safeguards are used as required by data-protection law.

How long information is kept

Enquiries that do not become commissions are normally retained for up to 12 months. Client, project, contractual and financial records are normally retained for up to six years after the commission ends. Information may be kept for longer where a legal, tax, insurance, regulatory or dispute-related reason requires it. Data that is no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymised.

Cookies and website measurement

Ground & Commercial Advisory does not currently use advertising cookies or its own visitor analytics. The website host may use strictly necessary technologies and process basic technical data to deliver and protect the site. If non-essential analytics or marketing technology is added later, this notice and the consent arrangements will be updated first.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. To make a request, email bert@groundandcommercial.co.uk.

Changes to this notice
